Terms of Service

1. The Services

OCRFire provides browser-based tools for processing PDF files, images, and documents, including OCR, format conversion, merging, splitting, and more. All processing runs entirely in your browser. We do not receive, store, or process your files on any server.

The Services are provided as-is utility tools. Output quality depends on input quality, browser capabilities, and the limitations of the underlying open-source libraries. You are responsible for verifying that output meets your needs.

2. No accounts or registration

OCRFire does not require accounts, login, or registration. There are no API keys, passwords, or credentials to manage.

3. Your files and data

Your files are processed entirely on your device. We have no access to, and no rights over, any documents, images, or data you process using the Services. You retain all rights in your files.

You represent that you have the right to process any files you use with the Services and that doing so does not violate applicable law.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Services to process content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes on others' rights;
• Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our website or infrastructure;
• Overload the website with automated requests or scraping beyond normal browser use;
• Misrepresent OCRFire or imply endorsement of your products or services.

5. Intellectual property

OCRFire and its licensors retain all rights in the website, branding, and code. The underlying document-processing libraries are open-source and subject to their respective licences. You may use the Services for personal and commercial purposes within the bounds of these Terms.

6. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. OCR AND CONVERSION OUTPUT MAY CONTAIN ERRORS; YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR VALIDATING RESULTS.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OCRFIRE AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. SINCE THE SERVICES ARE FREE AND PROCESS NO DATA SERVER-SIDE, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO ONE HUNDRED SINGAPORE DOLLARS (SGD 100).

8. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify OCRFireagainst third-party claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Services, your files, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may discontinue or modify the Services at our discretion. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitations, indemnity, and governing law) will survive.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The courts of Singapore shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services.

11. Changes

We may modify these Terms by posting an updated version. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
