Privacy Policy

OCRFire is the trade name of Guni Innovations Pte. Ltd.(collectively, “OCRFire,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We provide browser-based document processing tools. Because everything runs on your device, our privacy posture is simple: we don't collect, store, or transmit your files.

1. Core commitment: no file uploads

Your files never leave your device. All document processing (OCR, PDF manipulation, format conversion) happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. No file bytes are sent to our servers or any third-party service.

We do not operate file storage, document archives, or server-side processing pipelines. When you close the tab, your files are gone from memory.

2. Information we do not collect

  • Your files. PDFs, images, Word documents, and any other files you process are never uploaded.
  • File contents or metadata. We have no access to file names, page counts, text content, or any data within your documents.
  • Account data. OCRFire does not require registration, login, or any form of account.

3. Information we may collect

Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may automatically collect:

  • Basic request logs. IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages visited. These are standard web server logs used for security and abuse prevention.
  • Analytics (if enabled). We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns (e.g. which tools are most popular). No personally identifiable information is tied to this data.

None of this includes your documents, their contents, or any processing results.

4. Third-party services

OCRFire loads open-source libraries (such as Tesseract.js, pdf.js, and pdf-lib) from CDNs. These requests are standard browser resource fetches and do not transmit your file data. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may process the basic request logs described above under their own privacy policy.

5. Cookies and local storage

OCRFire does not use cookies for tracking. We do not use localStorage or sessionStorage to persist your files or personal data. Any browser-side state exists only in memory for the duration of your session.

6. Children

The service is not directed at children under 16. Since we do not collect personal information, this is largely moot, but we state it for completeness.

7. Security

The strongest privacy protection is not collecting data in the first place. By processing everything client-side, OCRFire eliminates the primary attack surface: server-stored documents. Our website is served over HTTPS with modern security headers.

8. Your rights

Since we don't collect personal data beyond basic server logs, there is typically nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you have questions about logs collected by our infrastructure providers, or if you are exercising rights under the PDPA or similar laws, contact us at privacy@ocrfire.com.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
